Mother's Day is a special day to honor and celebrate the incredible women who have brought us into the world, loved us unconditionally, and have been there for us through thick and thin. It's a day to remember the selflessness and dedication that goes into being a mother, and to say thank you for all that they do. But, as a mother myself, I know that being a mom is a 24/7 job, with no days off, and no time off. And so, as we celebrate this Mother's Day, I want to take a moment to acknowledge all the mothers out there, and to say "I see you, every day."
To all the mothers who wake up at the crack of dawn, even on weekends, to make breakfast for their families, I see you.
To all the mothers who juggle their career and family, working long hours at the office, only to come home and put on their mom hat, I see you.
To all the mothers who stay up late into the night, taking care of sick kids, or making sure that everyone has their homework done, I see you.
To all the mothers who have had to make tough decisions, sacrifice their own happiness for the sake of their children, and put their family first, I see you.
Being a mother is not an easy job. It requires patience, love, dedication, and an endless supply of energy. It's a job that comes with no instruction manual, and one that you can never truly retire from. It's a job that, at times, can feel thankless, exhausting, and overwhelming. But, it's also a job that comes with the greatest rewards. Seeing your child smile, hearing them say "I love you", and watching them grow into amazing human beings, makes it all worth it.
So, to all the mothers out there, I want to say thank you. Thank you for all that you do, every day. Thank you for being there for your family, for always putting their needs first, and for never giving up. Thank you for being a shining example of love, strength, and resilience. And most importantly, thank you for being you.
As we celebrate this Mother's Day, let's remember to honor and thank the incredible women in our lives who have made us who we are today. Whether it's your own mother, your grandmother, your sister, your aunt, or your best friend, take a moment to say "thank you", and show them how much they mean to you.
As we celebrate this Mother's Day, let us remember the following:
