An Unlikely Encounter
I first met Bikers for Christ when I was at a gas station on my motorcycle. I had just finished filling up my tank when a group of bikers pulled up next to me. At first, I was wary. They had patches on their jackets that I didn't recognize and didn't know what kind of bikers they were. But then one of them approached me with a smile on his face.
"Hey there! Nice bike! Do you ride with a group?" he asked.
I hesitated for a moment before admitting that I was a lone rider. He then introduced himself, saying that he was part of a group called Central Sierra Bikers for Christ. I was intrigued, and he told me more about their mission to spread the gospel through riding motorcycles.
After a few minutes of talking, he invited me to their next bike blessing and run. At first, I was hesitant. I wasn't a religious person and was unsure if I would fit in. But something in his sincerity and passion resonated with me, and I decided to give it a try.
A Day of Faith, Fellowship, and Fun
The day of the bike blessing and run turned out to be one of the most enjoyable rides I've ever been on. Not only did they bless our bikes and pray for our safety, but we also rode through some of the most beautiful parts of Central Sierra that I had never explored before.
But what made the day truly special was the sense of brotherhood and camaraderie among the bikers. We came from all walks of life and different backgrounds, but the common thread of our love for riding and Jesus Christ brought us together.
We stopped for lunch at a local diner, where we continued to share stories and laugh together. As the day went on, I realized that whether or not I shared their faith, I was glad to have crossed paths with Bikers for Christ.
